We Love Sales!
Students at Haaga-Helia Porvoo Campus were met with professional guest speakers from MoMice, Microsoft, Nordic sales, Micromedia and 360 Entrepreneur to interact with students and discuss media, marketing and advertising for Digi day. Technology evolves and constantly changes to follow trends. Workshops were related to the sales process in digitilisation. Time allocation for the guest speakers were limited, we could only understand the basic concept. Due to this impact, it did not allow suitable time to have the capability to have an in depth understanding.
When students were to register for the workshops, there was insufficient information regarding what the respected workshops were selling. Some of the guest organisations had limited information on their websites e.g. mission, vision, who they are, what they do etc. From this experience, walking in and knowing the unexpected formed anticipation.
The two workshops I attended were MoMice and Microsoft. MoMice was an application which event managers were able to utilise when events were implemented. It allowed the ease of how daily activities were designed to meet the customer’s needs and an attendance record. The application would benefit future seminars and workshops if I was to implement them in Haaga-Helia. Microsoft guest speaker was not interacting well with her audience. There was a lack of enthusiasm (possibly because she had presented the same presentation two times before I saw this). It was revising what Microsoft edge 10 can offer. Some of this information I was unaware of especially in PowerPoint.
Digi day created a positive impact on me and helped me to understand how media, sales and marketing has evolved to the digital world. If and when trends change, organisations will ensure they are selling their products to their focused customers.
